What's included in my registration? (For individuals)
As a participant in the Joyful Dinner Series, you’ll join the movement alongside thousands of fellow Slow Food stewards. Once you register your Joyful Dinner, we’ll provide you:
- Inclusion on the Joyful Dinner map.*
- Promotional tool kit to promote your Joyful Dinner, invite guests, and share Slow Food USA’s mission.
As a token of our gratitude, we will provide all Joyful Dinner hosts with the following benefits:
- 25% discount on most Slow Food USA merch
- 10% off annual Slow Wine Guide
- Slow Food discounts at The Foodocracy, Planted Places, and more!
* Note: specific addresses will not be published for individual dinners.
What's included in my registration? (For businesses)
As a participant in the Joyful Dinner Series, you’ll receive:
A one-year trial SLOW FOOD USA BUSINESS MEMBERSHIP.* Join a cohort of restaurants and food service establishments working to support Slow Food values. This one-year business membership will provide:
- Invitations to national conversations around how good, clean and fair food is being expressed in business operations around the country.
- Inclusion on the Slow Food USA Network Map.
Inclusion on the Joyful Dinner map to increase awareness and visibility of the Joyful Dinner and your establishment.
Opportunities to promote your business in Slow Food USA’s social media and newsletter.
Promotional tool kit to promote your Joyful Dinner.
*Your trial membership will not include access to the Slow Food Member portal. Upon renewal, you will receive full membership access and benefits.
What are the steps to host a Joyful Dinner?
Step 1 – Register for Joyful Dinner.
Step 2 – Plan & promote your Joyful Dinner. Use our toolkit to share your Joyful Dinner on your social media, newsletter, website, and in your business. (We’ll send you the toolkit!)
Step 3 – Hold your Joyful Dinner during the month of August, September, or October.
Step 4 – Document your Joyful Dinner. Take pictures of the experience and add @SlowFoodUSA as a collaborator. Use the hashtag #SFJOYFULDINNER
How will the funds raised during my Joyful Dinner be used?
When you host a Joyful Dinner, you’re supporting the work of Slow Food USA. This includes our efforts to preserve biodiversity through the Ark of Taste and Plant a Seed, the tireless advocacy of our Food and Farm Policy Community Action Team, our work to champion businesses that pursue “Good, Clean and Fair” through the Snail of Approval program, and our commitment to local Slow Food chapters across the US. Our grassroots efforts would not be possible without your support!
Does my donation go to Slow Food USA or my local Slow Food chapter?
The Joyful Dinner series is a fundraiser for Slow Food USA, the national organization that supports 40+ local chapters and groups like Slow Fish, Slow Wine, Coffee Coalition, and more.
If you are invited to participate in Joyful Dinner by your local Slow Food chapter, make sure you note it on the registration form. We will allocate 25% of your donation to your local chapter.
